Conventions Used in This Book

A variety of elements are used in this book to help you understand what you need to know and to keep it easy to read. When you see text with the > symbol in it, it defines a navigation path. For example, "Central Administration > Operations > Backup And Restore" directs you to open Central Administration, go to the Operations tab, and open Backup And Restore. In addition, terms that are new are in italics.

A Note points out an easily overlooked detail or design issue.

Tip 

Tips provide helpful information or spotlight the command-line option available for an administrative task.

Caution 

When you see a Caution, you should look out for potential problems. Many Cautions were learned through real-world experience.

Real World 

These occasional features explain what has been learned the hard way, through constant research and customer implementations.
