Chapter 6. Creating The Project Gantt Chart
In preparation for cooperatively creating the Gantt chart, each project team member has prepared a task template (refer back to Table 5-1) that identifies the task name, task predecessor(s), taskgroup members, member effort (member time commitment during task), and task duration for each project team member's task. Each project team member brings this task template to the meeting following the last project task meeting. The action item from the last project task meeting was for each member to go out and prepare a task template, using all the help he or she can get. This first Gantt chart meeting is scheduled by the team to allow each member just enough time to gather up this important data.
