In this chapter, you learned how to create components using the Abstract Windows Toolkit. The first thing that you learned was how to create and manipulate containers such as panels, frames, and applets.
Following that, you were introduced to a number of components, such as buttons and lists, that can be placed inside containers.
Finally, you learned how to control the placement of components in a frame by using layout managers. You saw examples of how to use three of these managers in your code.
