In Chapter 7, we looked at designing the overall structure of an application. In this chapter, we'll focus in on the details of implementing the data access tier of the application. We'll start by looking at the general technologies and techniques you can use to implement data objects. Then we'll look at some example data objects from the Island Hopper classified ad application, illustrating how they can be implemented using Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Visual C++.
