raster graphic

An image file format that contains the color information for each pixel. The file sizes of raster graphics are relatively large. Examples include .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .pct, and .png.

registration

The process of making sure that screen components are properly aligned (often from one frame to another).

rollover sound

A sound effect that plays any time a user places the cursor over a button.

ruler

A device that is used for precise measurement of objects in a Flash file. Rulers must be visible before you can create draggable guides.
