A range of features is supported in the SMS software update management capabilities to provide these software updates, and as discussed in Chapter 2, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) can also play a similar role in the right environments. And while MOM doesn't provide an extensive set of security-related capabilities to help manage the security of your infrastructure, it can help to support the environment by managing your other security tools and providing some better visibility to security-related events. In Chapter 13, we take a deeper look at the monitoring features supported by MOM and the various options the operator can take advantage of to effectively monitor systems.
