send for printing

If you're going to have your newsletter printed professionally, you'll need to provide the file electronically to either a service bureau or to your printer.

Before it can be off-set printed your file must be output to either film or high-resolution paper. Check with your printer to determine their requirements and whether they'll be able to process your file or if it will need to be sent to a service bureau for processing.

Whoever you're sending your file to, make sure that they have Pages so that they can output the file exactly as you designed it. If you use fonts other than those installed with OS X you'll have to make sure they also have those fonts.

The good news is that unlike with many other desktop publishing applications you only have to provide the Pages file. You don't have to worry about gathering and sending any graphics or photos that you've used in the newsletter they're already saved in the Pages file.
