Derivatives of Debian GNU/Linux

A number of commercial distributions have been based on Debian. However, recently many of these have died away, leaving only Debian itself and a few others. The Debian Project actually maintains a list of derivatives on its web site at www.debian.org/misc/related_links.

This list is most likely not complete, and it may include some derivatives that have since been abandoned, but it does demonstrate that there is a lively community surrounding Debian, not only on the core distribution, but also on other related efforts.
