Chapter 5. Playing & Refining MoviesWhile authoring a Director movie, you repeatedly play back the movie to check results and make improvements. This chapter will show you how to use the Control Panel to play back your movie in different ways. This chapter also covers tempo ”how fast the movie plays back. You'll learn how to set tempos in the tempo channel, and how to test playback to compare actual performance with the assigned tempo. When you play a movie, you'll sometimes notice places where one scene jumps abruptly to another. That's a good place to choose a transition effect ”also explained in this chapter. Transitions range from simple wipes (in which a new frame slides in from one side to replace the original frame) and dissolves (one frame melts into another) to more elaborate effects. |
