Summary

You now have an understanding of how software products are createdboth what goes into them and the processes used to put them together. As you can see, there's no definitive approach. The four models presented here are just examples. There are many others and lots of variations of these. Each company, each project, and each team will choose what works for them. Sometimes they will choose right, sometimes they will choose wrong. Your job as a software tester is to work the best you can in the development model you're in, applying the testing skills you learn in the rest of this book to create the best software possible.
