C ARLA R OSE has authored or co- authored close to 20 computer books, including Sams Teach Yourself Adobe Photoshop Elements in 24 Hours , as well as books on desktop publishing, telecommunications, and more. She is a contributing editor for Photoshop User magazine and has written for publications ranging from the Atlantic Fisherman to Adobe Magazine to The New Yorker .

G ENE S TEINBERG first used a Mac in 1984 and never looked back. He writes the popular "Mac Reality Check" column for the Gannett News Service and USAToday.com, and is the author of Sams Teach Yourself the iMac in 24 Hours . He has also written feature articles and product reviews for such magazines as MacHome , MacAddict , MacUser and Macworld , and he presents strange and unusual computing tips on Craig Crossman's "Computer America" radio show.

T ODD K ELSEY has an extensive background in the independent digital video community. He is the owner of Selendrian Group, Inc., a digital media company that has contracted DVD- related writing projects for high-profile companies such as Adobe. He is also a former performing member and online manager of the major label recording act Sister Soleil, whose last release featured Peter Gabriel. He is the author of Sams Teach Yourself iMovie and iDVD in 24 Hours .

J OHN R AY is an award-winning developer and security consultant with more than 16 years of programming and administration experience. He has written or contributed to more than 10 books currently in print, including Sams Teach Yourself Mac OS X in 24 Hours . He bought his first Macintosh in 1984, and remains a strong proponent of the computer and operating system that revolutionized the industry.
