12.1 Overview

Much can be said for lessons learned. We live in a world that is completely obsessed with reduce, reuse, and recycle. So why limit this to only paper or plastic; why not include knowledge and processes as well? It is in this spirit that you should view this book. Not every word of every chapter may apply to your business circumstances; however, you should reduce your effort to develop processes from scratch and reuse and recycle proven and successful processes that exist wherever possible.

Essentially, this whole book conveys lessons learned with respect to development and implementation of an ISD model and associated strategy. Everything in this chapter is covered in detail throughout this book. This chapter is really meant to highlight the key messages. You will notice some redundancy below, but this is a result of the tightly integrated processes and services.
