A typical space publishing scenario is to bring a model of parking facilities under control of a single owner or authority into the Internet. This allows applications to plan and guide travelers at the ends of their car trips from and to parking places. This planning and guidance normally happens as part of an application that makes use of a large-scale NSP to navigate public roads. The NSP usually connects to the SPS rather than the end user application. This allows the NSP, for example, to determine whether any parking space is available before routing a car to a specific parking location.
The guidance to parking scenario is explored in more detail in the Delivery to the Automobile section.
