In this chapter, I explained how your WLAN is vulnerable and presented steps that you should take to secure your WLAN. Among these were:
Changing default passwords, SSID, and usernames
Editing IP addresses
Turning off DHCP and assigning static IP addresses
MAC and IP address filtering
Adjusting broadcast power and setting a minimum connection speed
Using encryption
Using a personal firewall
Locking down client and host computers
Following these recommendations, you will be able to secure your WLAN so that it will be highly unlikely that a cracker or wardriver will be able to connect to your network.
