A World That Takes A While to Figure Out

In the fantasy world with the Great Tree described earlier, the most important people are The Singers. Yet even they defer to a class called The Dreamers, who can actually change the landscape with their dreams. The Dreamers defer to The Warriors, and The Warriors defer to The Singers. So it's all a weird circle.

How all these pieces fit together takes a while to figure out as do the pieces of most complex cultures such as our own.

In America, how many ways does the President have power over Congress? How many ways does Congress have power over the President? Well, these powers are spelled out in The Constitution but things aren't so simple. If the President is popular, then those in Congress are loathe to oppose him. So there are situations in which either the President or Congress have powers not described in American law.

Some cultures take awhile to descramble. That's part of their richness.
