You've created some brilliantly complex Flash content and all you have to do is work out a few kinks. You may want to see what a basic button will do when you interact with it. The problem is, publishing or testing your movie can take a while.

Suffer no more. Go to Control > Enable Simple Buttons (CTRL-SHIFT-B). This will enable you to actually interact with simple buttons on your Stage as if they had been published. You can test the rollover effect as well as any sounds you may have on the button. All this without ever leaving the comfort of Flash. Keep in mind that you won't be able to move the buttons around with the mouse because they'll be responding to it. To move a button, you can either select it and move it with your arrow keys or turn this feature off and proceed as normal.
