That's right, Macromedia has implemented product activation, just like Microsoft did with Office and Windows XP. Yippee...Not! The standard license for Flash MX 2004 allows you to install the program on two computers. If you try to install it on more than two computers, you'll have problems.
If you want to move an installation of Flash MX 2004 from one computer to another (if you bought a new one or whatever), then you must transfer your software. Go to Help > Transfer Your Software License. This will deactivate that installation of Flash so that you can install it and activate it on the new computer.
I don't think this new method will do very much against piracy, but I'm sure it will serve to annoy all of you to some degree. Enjoy product activation!
