Data-driven sites in Dreamweaver offer a world of possibilities, and this chapter investigated some that go beyond the basics. All exercises in this chapter were built using dynamic templates. This chapter looked at more-complex catalog pages with master-detail pages, more-complex database updates with user authentication, and working with complex recordsets and other data sources. It also peeked into the world of conditional content using Dreamweaver tools and hand coding. Almost everything covered here works with all server models supported by Dreamweaver. The next three chapters take you further into the specifics of the three most popular server models: ColdFusion, PHP, and ASP.NET.
