The chapter on the shell introduced you to basic commands and common tasks performed using them. Test your knowledge of the shell with the following examples:

1. List the complete command lines of all the processes belonging to the root user .

2. Modify the command prompt to display the current working directory.

3. Use cron to run the date command once every 15 minutes.

4. Write a shell script that will maintain a log of users logged on to the system. Logging should happen every 5 minutes.
