Class libraries are supposed to be generic, easy to use, and flexible enough to solve many problems. Real-life applications, on the other hand, tend to be very specific and often dont fit exactly into a class library scope. You have seen in this chapter how you can extend the ATL Server class library to solve specific problems that may occur in a real-life application. Such extensions go beyond the originally intended usage of the library, and they werent tested as thoroughly as the documented features. Nevertheless, we think theyre very handy tools for skilled developers.
This chapter concludes the Web services discussion. In the next chapter youll learn about another very powerful component of ATL Server: the support for authoring and sending e- mails .
