At times you may determine that PowerPoint is not working as efficiently as it once did. This sometimes happens when you install new software or move files into new folders. Use the Detect And Repair command to improve performance by repairing problems such as missing files from setup and registry settings. Note that this feature does not repair personal files such as your presentations. If the Detect And Repair command does not fix the problem, you might have to reinstall PowerPoint. If PowerPoint doesn't respond and close, you can use Microsoft Office Application Recovery to exit the program. If you need to add or remove features, reinstall PowerPoint, or remove it entirely, you can use Office Setup's maintenance feature. Detect and Repair Problems
