The other Office tool you may find useful is Microsoft Equation, .commonly referred to as the Equation Editor. This tool quickly inserts scientific and mathematic symbols into presentations.
The Equation Editor is accessed via Insert ’ Object ’ Create New Object Select Microsoft Equation. This brings up the Equation Editor interface:
By clicking the symbols at the top of the screen and selecting from the menu options, you can insert a wide variety of characters from various fonts.
Note | Because Equation Editor is a separate application, you cannot insert equations into text placeholders or boxes on slides. The equations are inserted as individual elements. They do not show up on the outline and so they will also not show up if the outline is exported using Send To Word. |
