Keyboard shortcuts are commands you can execute from your keyboard rather than having to use menus or dialog boxes. Photoshop has assigned a variety of keyboard shortcuts to various tasks within the program. New to Photoshop CS is the capability to customize any and all of these keyboard shortcuts.
Click on Edit . The Edit menu will appear.
Click on Keyboard Shortcuts . A dialog box will open , allowing you to customize your keyboard shortcuts.
Click on the group that contains the command you would like to modify. A list of the commands that fall within that group will appear.
Click on the desired command . It will be selected, and the keyboard shortcut for that command will appear highlighted.
Type a new keyboard shortcut . For example, if you want the new shortcut to be Alt+5, hold down the Alt key and the 5 key at the same time. The new shortcut will appear.
Click on Accept . The keyboard shortcut for that command will be selected.
Repeat Steps 3 to 6 for any other commands to which you would like to assign new keyboard shortcuts.
Click on OK . Your changes will be accepted.
