Believe it or not, many people don't read RSS feeds. So if you want to spread the word on your favorite topics with these folks, you can't use RSS. You can, however, display the items from an RSS feed on a Web page. When readers click a link for an item, they are redirected to the page associated with that RSS item.
All this cuts RSS out of the picture entirely as far as your page's readers are concerned. That's a good thing if you want to take information to the RSS-ignorant massesyou'll be handling the RSS yourself behind the scenes.
