TIP 174: Repackaging Print Layouts for GoLive

We think it's obvious that the Package feature connecting InDesign CS2 and GoLive CS2 integrates print and Web design in unprecedented ways, but what happens when your clients change their minds? Do you have to start all over again? Of course not!

Close the Package, Please

If you attempt to repackage your InDesign document yet you still have the current package open in GoLive, you'll receive an error message in InDesign. Make sure you have closed the package before attempting to repackage the document.

Just make the changes to the print piece in InDesign CS and repackage the layout with the same filename and location as before with the File > Package for GoLive command (Figure 174a).

Now switch to the GoLive Site window, select the updated InDesign Package in the Site window, select Site > Update > Files Dependent On Selection, and watch GoLive update all the necessary Web pages with changes to the text and images that were made in InDesign (Figure 174b).
