Summary of MPLS Configuration Commands

Now that we have configured all the different platforms, we can create a synopsis of all the configuration commands for them. We will follow the "Generic Configuration Model" section and identify all the required steps to complete each task.

Generic LSR Bringup

Table 6-3 enumerates all the required commands to finish each step in the LSR bringup. Refer back to Figure 6-2 to recall each task. The numbers in parentheses mean the following:

(1) In the BPX or IGX switch command-line interface (CLI)

(2) In the RPM-PR CLI

(3) In the PXM-45 CLI

(4) In the LSC CLI

In addition to the commands listed in Table 6-3, we still need to configure the routing portion in Step 4, which depends on the IGP used.

Generic eLSR Bringup

Table 6-4 is a review of the entire configuration command set needed to bring up an ATM MPLS eLSR in the different platforms. Refer to Figure 6-3 to recall each task. The numbers in parentheses mean the following:

(1) In the BPX or IGX switch CLI

(2) In the RPM-PR CLI

(3) In the AXSM CLI

(4) In the LSC CLI

(5) In the eLSR CLI

Additionally, a routing protocol needs to be configured in Step 4.
