Navigating a Presentation in a Web Browser

To test the Web version of your presentation, you need to use a Web browser. Internet Explorer works very well for this purpose, and it is probably already installed on your computer. Other Web browsers, such as Firefox, are also acceptable. To test your work, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Web browser, and type the URL of the presentation (this is the address where you stored it). Then press Enter.

  2. The first page appears. Use any of the navigation methods in the following list to move to each slide, making sure that there are no errors.

    • Move to the next slide by clicking the greater-than (>) button at the bottom of the window.

    • Click the Speaker button to pause or play the narration.

    • Click the Slide Show button to switch to a full-screen view of the slide, similar to Slide Show view in PowerPoint. To return to the Web page view, press Esc.

    • To jump to a specific slide, click its name in the left pane (the outline). To hide the outline, click the Outline button.

    • To expand or collapse the outline, click the Expand/Collapse Outline button.

  3. To end the show, close the Web browser or navigate to a different Web site.
