In this chapter, you learned how to use the Mobile controls to create ASP.NET pages that are compatible with cell phones, PDAs, and other mobile devices. First, you looked at how to use the Microsoft Mobile controls. These Mobile controls can be used to display text, lists, and other display elements, such as images and interactive calendars. Mobile controls can also be used to accept and validate text input with the TextBox control.
Finally, you examined how to make pages that are cross-device compatible and how to use the MobileCapabilities class to detect the features of a particular device. As you saw, the <DeviceSpecific> element can be used to display different content for devices with different features.
