If your client has problems associating to any of your APs, try the following:
If the client is a laptop, palmtop, or other portable device, try to move it closer to the AP.
Make sure the adapter is securely seated in the computer's adapter slot. Remove and reinsert the adapter to ensure it is properly seated.
Make sure the antenna is properly attached. (This is especially important for desktop PCs with a removable antenna.)
Confirm that the AP is turned on and runs properly.
Double-check your settings on both the client and AP. Parameters to check include:
- SSID
- EAP authentication
- WEP activation
- The correct WEP key (Remember that WEP keys are lengthy, and if even one character is incorrect, the key won't work.)
Confirm network settings.
Confirm that TCP/IP is installed on the AP and clients.
Confirm that the AP and client use the same channel.
