Copy the WAR Files to the Tomcat webapps Directory

Next, copy the WAR files for the example(s) you want to install from the examples directory on the CD-ROM to the webapps subdirectory of your Tomcat installation. For example, to install the Stocktrack sample application, copy stocktrack.war to webapps . The following WAR files are available:

• stocktrack.war ” The sample stock tracking application. Note that three different versions are included. One represents the application at the end of Chapter 11, one represents the application at the end of Chapter 16, and one represents the application at the end of Chapter 17.

• Taglib.war ” Contains all the examples and source code from Chapters 12 to 16, which concern the Struts Tag Library.

Note

Installation and configuration details for Chapters 18 ”20 are provided in those chapters. The applications used in those chapters are JBoss, XDoclet, Axis, JUnit, Ant, Cactus, and StrutsTestCase for JUnit.
