In this lab, you will troubleshoot a problem related to a user who cannot connect to a newly added VPN server. Read the following scenario and then answer the questions that follow. The questions are intended to reinforce key information presented in this chapter. If you are unable to answer a question, review the lessons and try the question again. You can find answers to the questions in the “Questions and Answers” section at the end of this chapter.

Scenario

As part of an effort to reduce costs, you are migrating users from dial-up access to using a VPN to access the internal network. One user, Jo Berry, is unable to connect to the VPN server. However, she is still able to dial in to the remote access server.

You are able to duplicate the problem, so you examine the user’s dial-in properties, as shown in Figure 12.18.
