Using Digital Cameras or Scanners with Tablet PCs

Some Tablet PCs come with an integrated digital camera; others can be connected to a digital camera through a secure Digital or CF Type II slot. With a digital camera connected to your Tablet PC, the possibilities are endless.

Take pictures and mark them up by adding comments in text boxes. You can use a plethora of tools with your pen in a program such as Paint (illustrated in Figure 13-2). When you’re done marking up a picture, you can e-mail or fax it instantly. If you have ready access to a decent portable printer, you can even print out your photos on the spot.

Connecting a scanner to your Tablet PC offers even more options. Scan in any document or graphic and use your pen to mark it up or annotate it. Portable scanners offer a lightweight scanning solution for Tablet PC users who travel a great deal.
