As we discussed in Chapter 18, "Using Google Maps," you can have Google maps and directions sent to your mobile phone. The mobile version of Google Maps is actually a Java application that you download to your mobile phone. Once downloaded, you can view full-screen interactive maps of any location (like the one in Figure 30.6), find and map local businesses and locations, display satellite images, and show detailed map-based driving directions. To download the Google Maps application, point your phone's web browser to www.google.com/gmm. Note Learn more about Google News in Chapter 29, "Using Google News." |
