Scenario Summary

To be competitive, an enterprise-level retail Web site should be functional, convenient, and smart. Developing such a Web site from scratch, which has been done time and time again, is a huge challenge, and is no longer necessary. Microsoft's current answer to this problem is Microsoft Commerce Server 2000, and will soon be replaced by the even more powerful Microsoft Commerce Server 2002. These products provide a complete infrastructure that can be used to implement a functional, convenient, and smart retail Web site much more quickly than would otherwise be possible.
