Attention programmers, this one's for you! If you're used to working with Visual Studio, Borland Products, or even IBM software, you may be used to your code formatting itself a certain way as you type. Working in Flash can be a bit different, and the code you write can feel funny because it just isn't the same. Don't give up yet. Open the Actions Panel Options menu and choose Auto Format Options from the list. Here, you'll be able to tinker with the way ActionScript is formatted so that the code you write looks more like what you're used to. I typically keep the first three options checked because I'm used to working in Visual Studio .NET. You even get a little preview of how your code will look when you accept the formatting options.
