Any time I work in with a team of developers on a Flash project, I always run into one particular problem. When I open someone else's FLA files, I get a message saying that I don't have some freaky font they decided to use in their design. The cool thing is that Flash picks up on this and gives me an option to pick a font I do have to use until I get and install the weird font.
Ideally, you want to pick a substitute that is close to the font you're missing, but you may not get this on the first try. If you ever decide to switch to another substitute, just go to Edit > Font Mappings (Flash MX > Font Mappings on Mac) and select a new font for the missing one. It may take some trial and error if you don't know what the missing font looks like, but eventually you'll find something that seems to fit.
