File Swapping

Some of you just became very excited when you saw the title of this one. Sorry, but Flash doesn't support MP3 and file sharing by default. When I say file swapping, I'm referring to the Library. If you have any imported assets (video, sound, bitmap) and you placed them on your Stage, you can easily replace them with another file with almost no work.

Double-click the asset in the Library and click Import. This will run you through the same process of importing as when you first brought the asset in, but instead of creating a new one, it will just replace the asset with the new file you choose. It's a very useful tool when you have several instances of the same photo and suddenly decide to update the photo with a new picture altogether. The great thing is that you don't have to find each use of the bitmap because Flash does it for you.
