Basic commands

There are a bunch of odd-looking command characters in adb , but they all follow some basic rules. There are commands to:

• Display the contents of memory or files

• Perform conversion and printing operations

• Control a process being debugged

and a bunch of others. The most common actions you will want to perform when looking at core files is to examine memory, so let's check out the display commands first.
