Summary

As we have shown, CFScript provides programmers with another method of developing ColdFusion MX applications. In specific situations, mostly those with long or complex logical statements, CFScript is a much cleaner and succinct method for writing code. In the next chapter, we look at developing UDFs where, more often than not, CFScript will be your method of choice.

Developers with extensive scripting or programming backgrounds will most likely warm to CFScript and find themselves more productive and comfortable using CFScript than standard tag-based CFML.
