Configuring miscellaneous start and stop scripts

Following the creation of the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler Start and Stop scripts, it is likely that there will be other applications that will need to be included in the TSM design. Examples of applications that might be included in the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler HACMP design are:

• Apache Web Services

• DB2®

• TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager - for data backups)

Note 

The creation of these start and stop scripts can occasionally be rather complicated, especially when the application is expected to run under an HACMP environment, so it is useful to have the subject matter expert for the application available, as well as a contact that can provide UNIX startup and shutdown shell scripts for that application.
