The Customize dialog box opens. Click the Toolbars tab.
Click the toolbar you want to customize.
Click the Commands tab.
INTRODUCTION
Each toolbar in PowerPoint displays a default set of buttons. You can customize which buttons appear on each toolbar, or add new buttons for other tasks you perform frequently.
TIP
Seeing the Full Toolbars
Click View, Toolbars, Customize , and then click the Options tab and select Show Standard and Formatting Toolbars on Two Rows . Click Close to apply the change.
TIP
Displaying Larger Buttons
You can enlarge toolbar buttons onscreen to see them better. To do so, click View, Toolbars, Customize , click the Options tab, and select Large icons . Click Close to apply the change.
Select the category and button you want to add to the toolbar. (Categories group similar commands together, often by menu name .)
Drag the selected button from the list, and drop it onto the toolbar where you want it to appear.
Click Close .
The button appears on the toolbar.
TIP
Removing a Button
To remove a button from a toolbar, first select View, Toolbars, Customize to open the Customize dialog box. (This dialog box must be open to edit any toolbar.) Next, drag the button from the toolbar and drop it anywhere in the work area. The button is immediately removed, and all the other buttons in the toolbar shift to fill the space. Close the dialog box to complete the customization process.
TIP
Hiding ScreenTips
Select View, Toolbars, Customize to open the Customize dialog box. Click the Options tab and deselect Show ScreenTips on Toolbars . Click Close .
