The Conductor Track

The Conductor Track is different from all other types of tracks in Digital Performer. It contains special data, including information on the tempo, key, and meter of your sequences. When you make changes to tempo, key, or meter, they will be reflected in the Conductor Track.

Changing Key

Using the Conductor Track, you can change the key of a particular MIDI selection.

Changing Meter

You can change the meter for your entire track. You can change both the beat value and the number of beats per measure.

NOTE

The number of beats per measure must be between 1 and 99, while the beat value must be 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64.

Changing Tempo

Changing the tempo for a particular part of your sequence is a breeze using the Change Tempo window in Digital Performer.
