How to Read this Book

Although it is beneficial to read an entire text on any topic some people don't like to read and prefer to skim and dip for goodies . Skimming and dipping is fine as long as you know what you are looking for and know when you have it. Reading, pondering, embracing and taking ownership of every word may not be your style or you are in a crisis and don't have time to meditate on the higher values of life. You need something helpful RIGHT NOW!

Taking in any information within a complete context will strengthen your knowledge base, language usage, comprehensions, advocacy stance, and consciousness as well as establish more depth and integration. Reading the width, breadth and depth of a topic is useful. Application of material without breadth and depth is less powerful.

Because this book discusses spinning and emotional tornadoes, approaching the topic of emotions at work would be best served by reading to seek a deep personal solid foundation that can't be blown away. But if you skim and dip, use this book as only one resource as you build a very complete awareness of the dynamics of human emotions at the workplace. If it is the first book on emotions you read, read it carefully. If it just another book for you, you should read even more carefully there might be one more idea that you haven't read yet. Any book with one more good idea is worth your time. In a world that is spinning like a top on a daily basis an idea that offers safety in the workplace may indeed be worth your time.
