First Thoughts

The universe is in motion, spinning, spinning. Atoms spin around atoms and galaxies spin around themselves in precise choreographies. Spinning is not unnatural . However, if a planet spins off its axis, it can be thrown light years from its original orbit . The consequences are extreme.

Humans are micro-representatives of the universal design of spinning atoms and organic galaxies, bioelectrical systems in motion. If a human being becomes unbalanced and emotionally tumbles away from its original pattern the consequences in terms of human dynamics can also be extreme. Any human that tries to maintain his or her orbit in the presence of a collapsing one is at risk.

The science of change within a system is understood through sound principles, laws of physics, and by considering the nature of Energy in Motion. These same principles make it possible to study and understand the underlying principles of Emotions in the Presence of Business Change.

The purpose of this book is to aid in the understanding of some of the dynamics of emotions in the presence of change that occur in the workplace. Although change and movement are known factors of life, movement can be either productive or counter-productive. Spinning out of orbit is generally counterproductive to life. Emotionally spinning out of orbit at the workplace is rarely fiscally productive if an employee spins out of the workplace gravity system.

How is the gravity at your company? Are the human emotions orbiting pleasantly about or wobbling into pre-collapse? What is your company doing with its human energy? Is the direction that managers and employees are spinning productive or destructive? Is the human energy of your company spinning positively within the framework of the galaxy of your industry? Or is it Stuck? Blocked? Running Amok? Exploding? Short-Circuited? Leaking? Or, Spinning Wildly Out of Control? What level of spin can your organization tolerate ? A small wobble, or a single rotation? Or, can it withstand the daunting effects of a catastrophic, whirling spinout? And, do you want to be the one in your department who manages all that force? If so how?
