Summary

In this chapter, you learned how to use Spring to simplify the creation of e-mail messaging functionality for your applications. You saw how to use both JavaMail and COS MailMessage to create and send simple, plain text messages, and we demonstrated how you can configure these messages externally using Spring DI features. In the second half of the chapter, we discussed how you can use JavaMail to construct complex MIME messages to support advanced features such as HTML message content, embedded images, and message attachment.
