Creating a Frame

Before you can type text, insert a table, import a picture, design WordArt, or insert an OLE object, you must draw the appropriate frame for that type of object. The frame serves as a container to hold objects, such as a block of text, a picture, or a graphic element you've created yourself.

Create a Frame

graphics/one_icon.jpg Click the corresponding frame toolbar button to create the type of object you want.

Refer to the table for information on the different tools.

Position the pointer on the page where you want the frame.

graphics/three_icon.jpg Press and hold the mouse button, while you drag diagonally.

The frame boundary will appear.

Release the mouse button when you have created a frame the size you want.

Did You Know?

You can show or hide frame boundaries and guides . To show boundaries, click the View menu, and then click Boundaries And Guides. To hide boundaries, click the View menu, and then click Boundaries And Guides again.
