Section 6.3. Summary

6.3. Summary

  • Several types of tables are often needed in a sequence to define a single test.

  • Our first example test uses an ActionFixture table and several RowFixture tables.

  • The second example uses only ColumnFixture tables, with two fixtures.

  • When a sequence of tables together make up a single test, they will all access the same system under test, or part of it, if they change its state.

  • The first table in the sequence needs to be responsible for running the system under test. In Chapters 7 and 8 we'll see tools that support the sharing of common setup tables among tests.
