Almost every profession has its own specialized vocabulary; doctors , priests, pilots, lawyers , and plumbers all use specific words to mean specific things. That s because their professions all require precise descriptions of various phenomena, processes, and objects. Guess what? Computer security professionals have a specialized vocabulary, too. To absorb the material in this book and apply it to effectively secure your Microsoft Exchange infrastructure, you ll need to understand some vocabulary that s foreign to many messaging administrators.
