Team up your handheld and your computer to get the most out of both. Synchronizing your handheld and your computer automatically creates a backup of all your important info and lets you transfer new info, applications, photos, music, and files from your computer to your handheld or an expansion card.

What you can do by synchronizing

• Transfer games to your handheld after you've downloaded them from the web.

• Transfer new songs to your expansion card to listen to on the morning commute.

• Keep a work calendar that's always up-to-date.

• Back up your handheld info as often as necessary (at least once a week, but preferably every day).

How it works

When you sync information, it isn't just poured from one device into the other. Info that's new or changed in your desktop software is added and changed on your handheld, and vice versa. Info that hasn't changed stays put.

When was your last sync?

To find out the last time you synchronized, from the Home screen, tap the HotSync^® icon and then tap Log.
