Sure, we've seen the statistics. Many home businesses fail. But what about the triumphant successes? If you follow all these marketing strategies, you just may find yourself in a position where you are "too successful." Actually, there's no such thing. But we thought this would be a good point to add a caveat that if you find yourself working 24/7, for a sustained period with no sign of let-up, it might be time to add a support person or assistant to your home office.

Success can literally be destructive. Erica knows firsthand. She got so busy she didn't have "time" to file, do her taxes properly, or even eat on some days. It's a nice problem to confront, but it is still a problem. Know when you're hitting burnout. Are you short-tempered, never getting enough sleep, never taking a lunch break? It may be time to take a hard look at how successful you've become and look at how you can add some balance in your life, perhaps by hiring an employee or two. It's a scary step but someday you'll look back and see it as a turning point.
